We are very lucky to have wonderful people teaching. Michele Frizzell can help you with ins and outs of play. You can watch her play against other people to get an understanding of how she sees a hand coming together. Look for her on Mahjong Central. https://mahjongcentral.com/
We also recommend Mahjong Time’s best NMJL game of the week. You can find this on You tube. Watch the game, stop the action to try to figure out what the players are thinking, and see how the game unfolds.
Many online sites and phone apps offer help to players. Realmahjongg.com allows you to play against computers, as does myjongg.net which also offers a helpful guide to which hands would work best for an extra fee. American Mahjongg Practice is in the app store, as is Mahjong Defense-both wonderful ways to practice. The newest site is Ilovemahj.com. They have lots of ways to learn the card and practice playing. You can play against robots, friends and robots, or robots who are friends-we feel we know those bots we play with!
